St. Bartholomew Wigginton

Baptisms

For your child, being baptised (also called christening) marks the start of a life-long journey of faith as part of the local and world-wide Christian family.  During the service, parents and god-parents will make promises on behalf of their child until they grow up and are old enough to make these promises for themselves through Confirmation.

We love baptising older children and adults too!  When someone hasn't been baptised as an infant but wants to make that public declaration of their Christain faith, they can make the promises made by parents or god-parents for themselves!

If you would like more information about baptism at St Bartholomews please contact us using the details on our contact page. The Church of England website about Baptisms is really helpful. Hav a look!!
