The WI plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on matters important for them and their communities."

In Wigginton there are around 55 members of the village WI and we meet on the second Tuesday evening of each month at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. We have a full programme of talks, outings, Village events in which we take an active part and regular social gatherings in members homes, to just chat or take part in a craft activity.  We also have a walking group with monthly walks in the local area followed by a pub lunch, we welcome members and non members to the walks and the lunches.
